John Abraham hails from in Mumba India.

Prior to landing plum roles in movies Abraham started of his career as a model. In 1999, he, won the Gladrags Manhunt Contest. His next stop was Singapore where he was placed second in Manhunt International. He later became one of India's highest paid models. In 2003, Abraham made his Bollywood debut with the controversial and successful movie Jism. He has appeared in a number of successful movies since then which include Dhoom, Garam Masala and Water.
