Bistro & Bakery Thuet has adapted the European principal of a menu prix-fixe, featuring the menu dégustation surprise, a blind tasting menu which allows Marc to assemble a sequence of small courses that reflects the best creations of the gifts du terroire et saison.

Two hundred years ago Marcel Thuet began baking rustic breads in the bakery at the family homestead of Blodelsheim – not with yeast, but the old fashioned way, with a starter - a living culture that made the dough rise slowly, naturally, developing intricate flavours and a robust crust. By tradition, that same culture has been passed down through the family ever since. Two years ago, chef Marc Thuet, a fourth generation chef from Blodelsheim, Alsace went home to extract a sample and bring some of that family magic to Toronto.
